Join IABC Belgium's Programme Director/ Academic Outreach VP, Ilze Raath, for a hands-on workshop for non-native speakers.

Which topics will be covered?

  1. Let's get back to basics.
  2. What is business writing, web writing and copywriting?
  3. What makes a good business writer?
  4. Identifying and fixing language/writing problems.
  5. What is international English? How do I write it?
  6. Editing and proofreading your own and other people's texts.

Within the work environment, non-native communicators/writers are often reminded of the fact that they are not mother-tongue speakers... which can be a really annoying!

The aim of this workshop is to help you find your own unique writing style and voice. We will also look at finding ways of dealing with the constraints of writing for an international audience. Capitalise on your strengths and weed out your writing weaknesses! Finally, we look at practical tips on editing other people's writing!

Participants should submit two unedited texts they have written no later than 10 February 2010. E-mail your texts to Ilze Raath: ilze.raath@fortis.com.

Minimum : 5 PARTICIPANTS

Price: €270 for IABC members, €370 for non-members.
