Cargill: Regional Communications Lead

The Regional Communications Lead executes global communications strategy within Europe/Middle East/Africa. Supports the planning, organization and implementation of global communications activities as needed.

Please note: Candidate may live anywhere within the specified region.

30% - Executes the global communications strategy at the regional level by adapting key messages and approach to be culturally appropriate
20% - Provides communication counsel to regional leadership and fosters an environment of transparent, two-way dialogue between leaders and employees 20% - Supports overall organizational readiness by aligning regional communications with change and education activities, as well as engaging other regional resources 20% - Supports the planning, organization and implementation of global communications activities as needed. Other duties as assigned 10% - Builds-in appropriate feedback and measurement opportunities and reports back to drive continual improvement at the global and regional level

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, English or related field
  • 8+ years experience as a communications professional
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills -- clear, concise, creative and persuasive
  • Self-directed
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Working experience across multiple cultures within their region
  • Business Fluency in English

Preferred:

  • Strong business experience and understanding of Cargill
  • Experience in helping to support and foster effective communications within a large, complex, global organization
  • Significant understanding of change management principles
  • Work experience in the host region and knowledge of culturally appropriate communications for that region.
  • Effective project management skills
  • Ability to source and manage communication vendors
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
