Account Manager - Consumer & Health: Ketchum Pleon

For our office in Brussels, Ketchum Pleon Belgium seeks a top-class Account Manager to work on integrated campaigns for leading health & consumer clients.

Your position

As Account Manager you will be responsible for handling and growing consumer & health accounts and providing creative solutions relevant to your clients' political, economic and social environment. With your understanding of the Belgian market you are able to advise clients and be pro-active in offering strategic and on-hands support of the highest quality standard. You have a strong ability to develop and implement creative PR programs in line with our clients' goals. Besides allocating agency resources in accordance with your clients' 'budget' you have experience in managing and motivating junior members of the team. Being client-focused and flexible, you are able to jump in and assist with the development of new business.

You will report to the Account Director of the Corporate & Brand Communications division

Your profile

  • You can look back on min 5 years of PR/communications experience, preferably in an agency environment
  • BA/MA degree
  • You have dealt with a wide variety of PR programs and companies in the consumer and health industry and have a proven record of successful creation and implementation of strategic communication plans.
  • Excellent communication skills (including writing, editing and proofreading)
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to work within a team environment and work independently as a self starter
  • Excellent media contacts and understanding of the traditional and new media landscapes
  • Experience in leveraging blogs and social media as new communication outlets preferred
  • Proven aptitude to solve problems, handle crises, make quick decisions or take initiatives
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment while working under tight deadlines
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels within the client organization
  • Strong people management capabilities
  • You are a networker and have a professional network to support your activities
  • Interested in new business development
  • You have an interest & good understanding of the Belgian political, economic, social and business environment
  • You are fluent in Dutch, French and English (spoken & written)
